Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to capture a truly special moment in the lives of Dani and Odimar. Just last month, they chose Portugal as the setting for their unforgettable destination wedding — a decision filled with meaning and emotion.
Two main reasons led them to this choice.
The first: Odimar’s mother and sister live in Portugal, which made the country a natural and heartfelt location.
The second: Dani’s dream of visiting her grandmother’s homeland.
She wished to explore, together with her grandmother, the very place where she was born and once lived.
The Ceremony and Celebration
The ceremony took place in the stunning Church of Santa Quitéria de Meca, in Alenquer — a truly magical setting for such an intimate and meaningful union.
After the ceremony, the celebration continued at a beautiful historic estate, the Solar de Pancas.
This remarkable manor house, with its origins dating back to the late 15th century, is classified by Turismo de Portugal as being of “significant architectural interest”.
The Solar de Pancas is a prime example of architecture that blends sobriety and harmony with elegance. With over 500 years of history, this majestic estate is a magical place set on an iconic property with unique features: charming gardens, multiple rooms, a private chapel, and exclusive parking.
Memorable Moments
One of the most unforgettable highlights was the performance by the 4_dixie quartet — their lively energy and musical repertoire delighted the couple and all the guests, adding an extra layer of joy to the cocktail and reception.
I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of such a unique and emotional moment in Dani and Odimar’s lives — capturing every detail and feeling of this destination wedding in Portugal.
